Seceda skiing area is a very well-known place here in the Dolomites. It’s part of Val Gardena skiing resort and can be reached from any town of the Valley just using the lifts and the other skiing facilities of the area.

The view over Sassolungo, Sassopiatto, Sella Massif and Odle is breathtaking, and most of the huts have spacious terraces and sun chairs to enjoy it.

Today we’re going to take you to one of our favorite huts of this area: a place where every single detail counts, where the owners are so passionate about their job that they never stop looking for the best ingredients, the best local products, the best italian and international wines.

Maserati picked this hut for a partnership made of elegance, high quality food, incredible experiences: the location is a perfect spot for skiing, hiking, snowshoes excursions and…the ones who’re looking for very special memories can reach the restaurant by helicopter, wait for the sun to go down and ski back home when silence reigns over these mountains (you’ll shortly find more info in the “What to do” section of this website).

The selection of food is just incredible: the precious speck (smoky ham that’s probably the symbol of south tyrol); different kinds of homemade pasta, ravioli and dumplings; old vegetarian recipes with polenta and local cheese but also special venison and the best grass-fed beef. The surprise you wouldn’t expect is the plate most of the skiers ask for: the grilled juicy prawns accompanied by a delicious homemade tartare sauce!

The wine cellar will be able to impress even those who don’t drink at all: be ready to employ all of your five senses to get the best out of your drinking experience and let Markus, the owner, guide you through the best products that can suit your meal choice.

The hut organizes special nights for food&wine lovers, and is famous for its New Year’s Eve events, where people get here using the gondola and leave on the skis after a dinner that will wow every single guest.

Would you like us to organize your lunch, your dinner, your special event or your sundown experience by helicopter here? Please send a request for info to dolomiracles@outlook.com

Gourmet in the Dolomites

Great mountain experience is not always matched by great food. But head to the Dolomites, and you’ll be surprised: these mountains keep big wine and food secrets. In the Dolomites we take the whole dining experience very seriously!

The land of stunning views, a breathtaking nature, amazing colours and activities. But the Dolomites aren’t only about climbing, hiking and skiing: here you’ll find a unique combination of italian, austrian and ladin cuisine. It’s the place where the so called “slope food”, the alpine version of the street food, has been invented: local products, combined to create new flavors, old and new recipes that led some of the best spots in the area to get a Michelin star.

The whole experience starts from a land where the culture of  good food, the knowledge of ancient methods of production, the research to improve every single step of the process are just the base of a successful dining project.

In addition to the superlative food, this region is also home to some of the italian best wines. The natural shape of the valleys around Bolzano, together with the climate, is the cradle for fine white and red wines: gewürztraminer (probably the flagship wine of this area), pinot noir, lagrein, riesling…. delicious products of a land where wine is the soul of good living.

On these pages we want to take you for a journey through authentic flavors, elegant wine notes, cozy details on the tables of small huts and hidden restaurants.

If you’d like to know more about food and wine, if you need a guide to take you around the slope food circuit, if you’d like us to organize the perfect dinner, the perfect lunch, do not hesitate to get in touch with us (all the details are on our “Contact” page).

Sellaronda ski tour

Whether you are an excellent skier or just a mountain lover that loves taking pictures moving around with the skis, you’ll absolutely love this ski tour.

We’re talking about a circuit on skis around the Sella massif, an average of 26km of downhill runs that you can ski clockwise or anti clockwise, discovering the beauty of four wonderful Dolomites’ passes: Sella, Gardena, Campolongo and Pordoi. The spots where you can start from are innumerable, exactly like the slopes that you’ll find all around the circuit: some of these are famous all over the world, like the breathtaking Gran Risa leading you to the lovely town of La Villa or the challenging Saslong a few steps from the little village of Santa Cristina.

The landscape will change and surprise you around every single corner, giving you the feeling of a unique experience.

Let’s not forget to mention the gourmet-huts you’ll find all along the route: homemade pasta with truffle, fresh fish, organic meat, an ancient tradition of homemade cakes, carefully baked using the best ingredients.

Any skier interested in this ski tour must be fit and must carry the proper ski gear, even if the runs themselves are middling difficulty rather than advanced. We also suggest that our guests start no later than 10am and reach the last pass at 3:30pm so that they won’t miss the last ski-lifts.

For further information and suggestions about the slopes, about the best spots for a comfort tea or an unforgettable lunch, do not hesitate to send us an email or to give us a call.
